T - 3 Months contact radio / local publications to get on calendar T - 2 Months create Golf committee determine player entry fee determine extra dinner fee determine hole sponsor types & fees send donor letters requesting donations and hole sponsorship (include flyers for storefronts) line up catering for cocktail party line up catering for event dinner contact major sponsors & donors (Marina Motors, Palmer Group, et. al.) contact golf course? T - 1 Month assign committee member to donors begin follow up calls to donors put up flyers at the lodge larger signs to major sponsors & donors (Marina Motors, et. al.) order trophies 1st, 2nd, 3rd, long drive (men), long drive (women), long drive (over 60), booby prize? order banners putting contest event T - 2 weeks committee for cocktail party games * putting contest * chipping contest * ??? T - 2 days -- Cocktail party 5:00p -- setup 7:00p -- party 9:00p -- cleanup T - 1 day -- Silent Auction Setup (after normal lodge meeting) Get drinks / snacks from Costco 2 beers/person, lite preferred by most (maybe 3 lites/2 regular)? 2 waters/person 1 soda/person (thirsty folks, eh?) diet soda/regular soda diet 7-up/regular 7-up Order vegetable tray? Order meat tray? Snack-sized chips (1-2 / person)?
